Petition - ACTION Milton

Whereas Premier Ford announced on July 29th that his government will “make sure” the Campbellville quarry “doesn’t happen one way or another”;

Whereas the top priority for residents of Milton is to protect public health during the COVID 19

pandemic, and to support an economic recovery; and

Whereas the continuing Joint Agency Review Team (JART) process is a waste of public time and public money;

Be it resolved that I endorse the demands of ACTION Milton that

Premier Ford act quickly to stop the Campbellville quarry, and
MPP Parm Gill report to the community on a regular basis regarding his efforts to ensure a swift and comprehensive decision by the provincial government to stop the Campbellville quarry

Mr. Dick,

Please listen to a community that only wants what is best for the place where they live.

We do not want your quarry in Milton or in Rockwood.

A lot of bad energy is coming your way Mr. Dick.

Please go to an area that is not as sensitive or as heavily populated.

We understand that gravel is needed for construction of buildings and roads in other areas but we want to protect our clean water supply, established buildings and roads from destruction. There are already far too many gravel trucks in this area destroying roads, chipping peoples cars, windshields, and more.

This whole suggestion of a quarry/recycling operation right door to a village is totally wrong. It is harmful to our health, safety and our homes and businesses.

There is nothing about this that enhances this natural Eco rich area that is an easy escape from the city.
